Parz country house
with Renaissance garden

Famous for the "Renaissance and Reformation" exhibition in 2010, the Parz country house, built in the 15th century, is one of the most important Renaissance buildings in Upper Austria. The newly designed Renaissance garden along the south side provides a unique backdrop for the largest connected fresco wall north of the Alps.

Starhemberg castle
with local museum

Mentioned for the first time in 1776, the picturesque castle in Haag am Hausruck possesses a wonderful Renaissance courtyard and is also home to the local museum.

The museum houses exhibits from the former brown coal mining industry, illustrates country life with the tools of our forefathers and has the best locally produced handicrafts with their guilds. You can also learn about the time of the peasant wars and Emperor Napoleon.

Cider museum in the
St. Marienkirchen nature park

The area around St. Marienkirchen is famous for the quality of a typical drink from the Upper Austrian region – cider – which is the subject of this lovingly arranged museum.

The lightly rolling landscape of the "Naturpark Obst-Hügel-Land" also invites you to enjoy leisurely walks between the fruit trees.

Evolution Museum Schmiding, Krenglbach

From our ancestors up to robotics and artificial intelligence: Since May 2017, this brandnew museum shows the evolution of mankind combined with climate influence, changed living conditions, cultures and religions based on more than 1,000 objects on 4,000 square metres. Located directly next to Zoo Schmiding. Combi tickets available.
