Obstbaumallee

Grieskirchen, Oberösterreich, Österreich

The longest fruit tree avenue in Austria

A very special path runs through the House Mountain District. Around 100 years ago, a priest from Grieskirchen planted 450 fruit trees in an espalier – the longest fruit tree avenue in Austria was created. Nowadays, the three-kilometer-long avenue, which stretches from Grieskirchen to St. Georgen near Grieskirchen, is still preserved. Strollers are rewarded on the ridge with a view of the Trattnachtal and the Schloss Tollet. Especially in spring, this unique path is worth a visit when the fruit trees accompany every passerby with intense floral fragrance.
