Feel like you are in the legendary Arena di Verona! The concertmaster, lead violinist, and solo clarinetist of the world-famous Orchestra Arena di Verona shine together with the Sicilian soprano Claudia Oddo with new, incredibly original opera melodies and paraphrases in arrangements by their pianist Robert Corlianò.

Claudia Oddo
Soprano Claudia Oddo was born in Germany and studied opera singing in Italy, where she debuted as a concert singer at the age of 21 with the contemporary music theater piece “Siate Parchi” by Emilia Romagna Teatri. During the Opera Studio at the Fondazione A. Toscanini, she made her opera debut in La Traviata under the direction of Franco Zeffirelli and conducted by Placido Domingo at Teatro Verdi in Busseto. In 2005, she returned to her birth country, where she made her German opera debut as Paoluccia in the comic Baroque opera “La Cecchina” at the Schlosstheater Rheinsberg.
Since then, Claudia Oddo has been a sought-after opera and concert singer. She is known for her ability to bring performances to the stage that combine visual art with classical music and her own compositions, using cross-media means.
For several years, she has been leading the project “Opera & Arte” with the German-Italian artist Ippazio Fracasso-Baacke. Together, they have produced the artistic video clips “Addio del passato,” “Tosca” in the Castle of Gallipoli, and “Madama Butterfly.”
With her latest album “Cameleon,” Oddo made her debut as a composer. Her songs “Fiori di passione” and “Tu mia terra,” which she dedicated to her home Sicily, were celebrated during her 2022 tour at the Politeama Theater in Palermo and in San Nicola L’Arena in Catania with the German OdL Orchestra (the orchestra of the State Government of Düsseldorf).
The versatile artist has received numerous awards, including the 1st Rotary Music Prize “Cataldo Bancheri” 2023 in Rome and the “Premio Ragusani nel Mondo 2020/2021” XXVI Edition in Sicily. In 2013, Claudia Oddo was awarded by “Verona Lirica” at the Philharmonic Theater of the “Fondazione Arena di Verona” as an emerging voice in the opera scene.
The soprano also has a connection to Verona through the Teatro Ristori, where she recorded her first of four internationally released albums “Claudia Oddo Verdi & Puccini” with the Orchestra Regionale Filarmonia Veneta conducted by Günther Sanin.
