August Heigl's Oriental Nativity Scene Once Again on Display in Badstraße
This year, the elaborately designed oriental nativity scene by August Heigl can once again be viewed in Badstraße in Bad Schallerbach. From November 30, 2025, to January 11, 2026, the exhibition invites visitors to marvel at the display between Kerstin Lattner Ladies' and Men's Fashion and the Parkhotel Garni. The nativity scene was crafted by August Heigl from Bad Schallerbach with great craftsmanship and attention to detail. The artistic background comes from the renowned nativity scene builder Alfred Fleckenstein from Germany and highlights the special quality of the setting. A particular highlight is the nativity figures: they come from the workshop of the Sicilian artist Angela Tripi from Palermo. Each piece is a handcrafted unique – modeled from clay, fired, painted, and carefully dressed with fabric soaked in glue.
The association WIR.BadSchallerbach sincerely thanks August Heigl for the many years of providing and lovingly designing this special nativity scene, which captivates many visitors each year and brings a festive shine to the town center.
