Johann George Adam von Hohenegg Mr. von Schlislberg and Trattenegg (1669 - 1754) is considered one of the most important genealogists of his time. According to his pious attitude, he had a votive column built in 1708, which stood in Unternberg till 1975, then was renovated and set up again in 1979 on the Puehringerplatz.

In the course of the urban design in 2002 the column was shifted to the crossing Pühringerplatz/Stadtplatz.
The monument is about seven meters high and has a triangular ground plan. It is crowned by a very beautiful depiction of the holy trinity. The latin inscription says: As oblation for the glory of the most holy trinity of the father and the son and the holy spirit and not less as a faint thank you for the protection of his person from innumerable threats and his goods against the invasion and devastation of the enemies, Johann George Adam Hohenegger of Hohenegg, gentleman in Schlislberg, Prunhof and Traetenegg had this monument built, in order to fulfill the vow of eternal gratitude, in the year MDCCVIII.
