Concert season
The summer of music in Bad Schallerbach has been one of the most significant cultural events in Upper Austria for more than twenty years, and its diverse programme and artistic quality have turned it into a fixed part of the cultural landscape. As a "cultural brand", it is also an important cultural ambassador for the Upper Austrian region.
In addition to the outstanding classical musical offering, the programme for the 25th international summer of music in Bad Schallerbach also includes revues, satires and "Wienerlied" (a typical art of Viennese music) . From April 2020, visitors can again look forward to an immensely eclectic festival with well-known performers and idols.
The festival's intendant, Mr Peter Gillmayr, scored a special coup: The season opening will be performed by musical star Mark Seibert.
Directorship
Founder and director of the international summer of music Bad Schallerbach is Mr Peter Gillmayr who has been born in Linz. He studied instrumental education and the concert class for violine at Bruckner conservatiory in Linz and at Mozarteum Salzburg. Besides his jobs as musician for orchester and chamber music, concertmaster and maestro, he is educating a class for violine, viola and chamber music at the music school in Grieskirchen. Additionally, he conzeptualized 20 concert series, two dozends projects for word & sound as well as approximately 50 self-composed musical works. For all these achievements, Upper Austria's Gouverneur awarded him with the titel "Konsulent fuer Musikpflege" in 2006.

National as well as international stars are playing for their audience at Wallern, Grieskirchen and mostly at Bad Schallerbach.

International summer of music locations
Parz country house in Grieskirchen will again be host to events during the 2019 season of the international summer of music. The wonderful atmosphere in the ballroom provides the perfect backdrop for classical concerts.
Due to it's extraordinary acoustic, the Protestant's church in Wallern offers another ear candy. Nontheless, the so called home base of the international summer of music is Bad Schallerbach's Atrium where the majority of the concerts and events either in the hall called "Europasaal" or in the roofed inner yard (atrium) is taking place.
