Schmiding Zoo
Noble giraffes, mighty tigers, large rhinos and gorillas, whose facial expressions can hardly be interpreted. Flamingos in pink and orange, reef sharks, kangaroos or supposedly stubborn donkeys: in the zoo and aquazoo Schmiding you will meet the fascinating fauna of different regions of the world on 14 hectares.
Great: Watch Austria's only gorillas drumming their breasts, lounging or doing gymnastics in the impressive gorilla bay. Or stand face to face with the six-meter-high giraffes on the viewing plateau by the African savannah. You have to marvel at an entire giraffe family!
The natural habitat for the Siberian tigers and the world's largest accessible bird of prey facility, in which mighty vultures can be observed without a grid separation, are also impressive.
Tip: Meet the keeper. Be there when the animals are fed at fixed times and experience exciting zoological background knowledge or one or the other funny anecdote from the animal keeper.
