In 2018, a state-of-the-art artificial turf facility with floodlights was opened at the sports complex in Wallern. This facility offers optimal playing and training conditions even in times of snow, rain, or frost.
Based on experience, appointments in the spring months of January to March are quickly booked out, and we are eager to accommodate every reservation request.
We would be pleased to offer this opportunity to your club as well.

The roots of the club's history go back to the year 1972. However, the sports success story began only in 1992, when the club was able to win over the patron Ing. Manfred Zauner as a sponsor.

After 2 unsuccessful attempts, the first team secured its first championship title in the 2nd class center in the 1994/95 season. In a two-year rhythm, it then progressed through the 1st class center and the district league north to the 2nd Landesliga West.

During this high-flying phase, all previous records were broken. As the only team in Upper Austria, SV Wallern ended the district league season 1998/99 without a defeat. Even more impressive was the championship year 2001/02: SV Wallern accumulated 73 points that season, the most any team had ever earned in the 2nd Landesliga West before. Wallern conceded only 24 goals, the fewest in the league.

Since then, SV Wallern has played in the highest Upper Austrian league, achieving its best placement with 4th place in the 2003/04 season. This ranking was also the qualification for the ÖFB Cup.

After defeating FC Wels in the preliminary round, SK Sturm Graz was a guest in Wallern in the first main round. After an exciting 90 minutes, Filipovic scored the 0:1 in stoppage time in front of 1,750 spectators. An absolute highlight in the club's history.

However, after the 2006/07 season, the shock came. Despite finishing 12th, relegation was a bitter reality. As an immediate promotion seemed unrealistic, the club management decided on a complete restart in the 2nd class center east.

Alongside some experienced players, the club aims for immediate promotion with young players from Wallern and the surrounding area, aiming to delight local football fans with attractive football

... perhaps soon again in the OÖ league.

The first step was taken in the 2007/08 season. As the only team in Austria, the promotion was masterfully achieved without a single point loss. The team celebrated the championship title of the 2nd class center east with the maximum of 72 points, a goal difference of 120:16 and won all of the last 25 matches by the end of the championship.

In the 1st class center-west, there was no stopping. The promotion to the district league was celebrated right away in the 2008/09 season. Again with an impressive statistic: 23 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses, goal difference of 100:22.

From 21.8.2010, they ultimately played again in the class where they would have been relegated 3 years earlier, namely the Landesliga West. With a spectacular promotion, they were able to celebrate the championship for the third consecutive time WITHOUT A DEFEAT. With 24 wins and 4 draws, they celebrated the superior championship title of the district league south in the 2009/10 season.

On 1.6.2011, it was finally time. With the victory against Utzenaich, the championship was won 3 rounds before the end, and they secured their place as promoted team in the OÖ league. After 4 years of absence and the same number of championship titles, SV Wallern is back in the highest Upper Austrian league. The vision of the club management has been realized. Now derbies against Schallerbach, Grieskirchen, or Eferding are upcoming.

In the very first year of the OÖ league, the team led by coach Gschnaidtner unexpectedly achieved promotion to the regional league in the 2011/12 season. Ultimately, it was achieved confidently with 60 points and a 9-point lead over the second-placed team. This championship title – the 5th title in a row – made history in Austrian football, as no other club in Austria had achieved this feat. From the 2nd class center east to the regional league center in 5 years – simply incredible. In addition to the Austrian record, naturally, it is a club record for SV Zaunergroup Wallern, as they had never before reached the third highest league in Austria. The opponents in the new season include LASK, GAK, Austria Klagenfurt, or FC Pasching – Bundesliga flair in the Zaunergroup Arena in the 2012/2013 season.

Since the 2016/2017 season, SV Zaunergroup Wallern has been playing again in the OÖ league. The first season back in the OÖL ended with SVW in 6th place in the standings.
