The Wallern Museum of Local History is located next to the fire department depot. It was opened in 1997 and expanded in 1999/2000 and again in May 2017. The task and goal of the Wallern cultural group, the sponsor of the museum, is the collection and presentation of traditional cultural assets.

The museum includes 8 exhibition rooms and an exhibition courtyard.

Home Decor and Rural Work

Two rooms showcase the rural home decor from the 19th century, including painted furniture and household items. In the opposite barn, you will find a collection of rural work tools used from sowing to harvesting, a Most press room, and an old bindery workshop. Special emphasis is placed on depicting the social conditions of rural servants. Two small niches have been set up as a "servants' chamber" and a small parlor.

Protestants and Catholics

A separate room documents the development of the two denominations in Wallern. A copy of the document mentioning the town for the first time in 815 is also on display.

Musical History of the Town

The musical tradition of the town, including local songs, is also covered. In addition to folk music groups, the oldest witnesses of the musical life, the two church choirs, are introduced. The history of the Liedertafel (Hausruckchor) and a detailed presentation of the music association founded in 1890 are also included. A separate room is dedicated to musician families, as three musicians from Wallern are members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
