24-hour cycle marathon Grieskirchen

The highlight in the calendar of events for athletes & sports fans

The 24-hour Grieskirchen Cycling Marathon always takes place on the first weekend of July. (Next planned date 2021: 10 - 11 July 2021).

The 21.5 km circuit leads through the charming hilly landscape of the Vitalwelt Bad Schallerbach holiday region.
173 metres in altitude have to be mastered. It doesn't sound like much, but the racers achieve something almost superhuman, as the goal is to complete as many laps as possible within 24 hours - alone or in a team. All in all, the participants pedal more than 200,000 kilometres on the road, eat more than half a ton of bananas and enjoy more than 10,000 spectators who are offered a varied supporting programme.
